About Digital Signature Certificate
A DSC, or Digital Signature Certificate, is an electronic credential that authenticates an individual's or organization's identity for online transactions, acting like a digital handwritten signature to prove authenticity and ensure data integrity for e-filing, e-tenders, and other digital processes, especially in India under the IT Act, 2000. It's issued by a licensed Certifying Authority (CA) and contains the user's details, binding their identity to a public key for secure, encrypted communication and document signing.
